Young Saints On Parade
This weekend it was the turn of one our nearest local clubs to visit Newport RFC at Rodney Parade to perform the now traditional Guard of Honour. St Julians High School Old Boys are going from strength to strength just up Caerleon Road at the Glebelands and boast six age grade teams. The first visitors this season were from the under seven and under eight category and we had a great time running a pre match skills session, ably assisted by Newport's Jamie Murphy with a late appearance from hooker Evan Whitson. We were also joined by a special guest in the form of Newport East Assembly Member John Griffiths who came along to meet the Trust Committee Members. We gave John a rundown of our Community Activites and hopefully he also had a good time. The Saints were photographed on the Rodney Parade Bench before welcoming both Bridgend and Newport to the pitch with their Guard of Honour at kick off time. Nick Jackson. FoNR Community Rep' |
