Mascot Regular Inspires Important Win
Newport needed a win to guarantee avoiding a relegation scrap and Neath were a tough looking obstacle. Our mascot on the day was an experienced Alfie Humphreys who turned up to provide the inspiration. Alfie has made an appearance every season since the Trust was formed so he was very welcome this time. He met up with his favourite player, Newport Stalwart, Andy Brown before kick off and led out the team with skipper Lee Beach. Newport went on to win handsomely with two impressive Owen Broad tries.
