Mary Vile

Mary Vile passed away recently after a full and rewarding life of over 90 years. Daughter of the former Newport, Walesand British Lions scrum half Tommy Vile, she maintained her keen interest in Newport RFC right through her final years. She was a regular at the Hall of Fame dinners and also sponsored the Newport RFC/FoNR Player of the season trophey in memory of her father.

Mary will be sadly missed by everyone involved with the Trust and will be remembered at a memorial service at St Woolas Cathedral, Stow Hill, Newport on Tuesday at 1415 before a private family cremation.
