Tom Makes Mascot Debut
Six year old Tom Stacey made his first appearance as mascot for Newport in a tough encounter against a fully proffesional Newcastle outfit. Tom is a pupil at Pentre Poeth School in Bassaleg and is grandson to Graham and Silvy Harries who are amongst some of our oldest and dearest supporters. Tom met his Newport hero Sam Waldron before the match as well as also being pictured with England Rugby's most resilient forward, Dean Richards. Tom then lead out Newport with skipper Gethin Robinson as the team took to the pitch. We hope Tom will make many more appearances over the next few seasons. Nick Jackson. FoNR Community Rep' |
