Magor Boys On The Team
Eight year old Alyn Philpott and seven year old Harry Andrews are players form the newly formed Magor Junior RFC. FoNR are pleased that the sterling work being done by the Undy Rugby Academy has resulted in a futrue for one of Monmouithshires old established clubs. On a sunny but cold winter afternoon, both lads proudly wearing their new playing kit, displaying the Trust endorsement as in recognition of our sposnorship, were bestowed witht the honour of leading out the Black and Ambers against our oldest rivals, Cardiff. Firstly, they met up with favourite players James Leadbetter and Alex Jones for the now traditional photo session. Following this, they lead out Newport with skipper Scott Williams. The inspiration they provided may have been enough to see Newport perform a double over the Blue and Blacks. Well done to both boys. Nick Jackson. FoNR Community Rep' |
