Mali Does Her Dad Proud
Mali Jo is only five years old but she takes a leaf out of her dad's book when it comes to motivating the team. I'm sure dad has a different way of doing things but the result on the day was the same. Mali was photgraphed first with skipper Alex Jones and her personal favourite player, Scotty Williams. Then she passed the match ball on to Alex as he lead the team out for a crucial play off win against premiership new boys Tonmawr. Perhaps the prospect of upsetting Sven's little girl may have just been the catalyst for thirty one unanswered points by half time. Tonmawr, who have proved themselves well this season could only pull an unconverted try back after the break to ensure that Newport keep up their aspirations to play BIC rugby next year.
