Jess and Joe Kick Off New Season

Jess and Joe Bishop were the first mascots of the '08-'09 season and set the Newport team off to a winning start with an impressive win over our closest and fiercest rivals Cardiff.

They met their favourite players Dan 'The Man' Griffiths and Scot 'Scotty' Williams. Also Captain Andy Coombes appeared with the mascots and then he and Jessie lead out the team prior to the demolition of Cardiff.

Newport came away with a 30-3 victory. Many thanks to Jess and Joe for their inspiration.
