New Community Sponsorship On a grey Sunday morning in February, our Chairman Dave Griffiths and myself were invited down to see the boys of NHSOB U10 play Abertillery at their Yew Tree Lane home ground. The Trust were approached by Shaun Yearsley whose son Brad plays for the team to provide some sponsorship as part of their community programme. Shaun is an avid Newport RFC Supporter and was one of the first Trust corporate members. The Trust Committee agreed to provide funding for training equipment such as tackle bags, shields and line flags. Junior and mini teams are always looking to recruit new players, boys and girls alike and the Trust have contact details for most local teams should you have a youngster looking to begin their rugby playing career.
