Introduction:

As part of the activities of the Friends of Newport Rugby we will endeavour to forge a stronger link between Newport Rugby Club and the community in general. In this way we hope to provide benefits to both the club and the community.

We will work in conjunction with Newport Rugby's current community projects, schools, elderly groups, disabled groups and the general public to achieve our aim of supporting rugby in Newport. We hope to also encourage a stadium community involving the people who live in the immediate vicinity of Rodney parade, and the club itself.

We are ensuring that the activities of the Friends of Newport Rugby are carried out without prejudice of gender, nationality, age, ethnic group, or physical ability.

At present we are planning certain activities which we hope to carry through to fruition. We are inviting the input of anybody that has any ideas for activities or would like to get involved and would ask those people to contact us through the link to the Community Representative on this website.
