At the recent match between Newport and Merthyr, Friends of Newport Rugby were delighted that former Newport RFC captain, coach and chairman Brian 'BJ' Jones was on hand to help with the monthly prize draw. BJ is an Honorary Vice -Patron of FoNR and is always very supportive of the efforts of the volunteers at the Trust. Newport back row forward Rhys Jenkins held the bag whilst BJ pulled out the following lucky winners: 1st - £300 - David Matthews 2nd - £75 - Vilma Cole 3rd - £25 - Stephen Chadwick Congratulations to all of the winners.
